The Saeima1 has adopted and
the President has proclaimed the following Law:

On the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) between Canada, of the One Part, and the European Union and Its Member States, of the Other Part

Section 1.

The Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) between Canada, of the one part, and the European Union and its Member States, of the other part, (hereinafter - the Agreement) which was signed on 30 October 2016 shall be adopted and approved by this Law.

Section 2.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs shall coordinate the fulfilment of the obligations provided for in the Agreement.

Section 3.

The Agreement shall come into force at the time and in accordance with the procedures specified in Article 30.7.2 of the Agreement, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs shall notify thereof in the official gazette Latvijas Vēstnesis.

Section 4.

The Law shall come into force on the next day following its proclamation. The Agreement shall be proclaimed in the Latvian language along with the Law.

This Law has been adopted by the Saeima on 23 February 2017.
