The Saeima ¹ has adopted and
the President has proclaimed the following law:

On the Determination of the State Border Between the Republic of Latvia and the Republic of Belarus

Section 1. This Law hereby adopts and approves the Agreement on Determining the State Border Between the Republic of Latvia and the Republic of Belarus (hereinafter - the Agreement) signed on 21 February 1994 in Minsk.

Section 2. The Law shall come into force on the day of its proclamation. By this Law shall be proclaimed the Agreement referred to in Section 1 of this Law and the maps appended thereto.

Section 3. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia shall, on the basis of this Law and in accordance with Article 8 of the Agreement, prepare the instruments of ratification for exchange with the Republic of Belarus.

Section 4. The Agreement shall come into effect in accordance with the procedures determined in Article 8 thereof.

The Law has been adopted by the Saeima on 10 November 1994.
