Price List of
the Paid Consular Services Provided by the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs
Issued pursuant
to
Section 20, Paragraph four of
of the Law "Consular Rules of Procedure"
1. The Regulation prescribes the price list of the paid
consular services provided by the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs.
2. The paid consular services shall be provided by the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs in accordance with the price list
(see in Annex).
3. Payment for a consular service shall be transferred into
the State budget. A person shall make a payment into the State
budget, using the following types of payment services:
3.1. cash payments to the representation or by using the types
of payments in accordance with the specific procedures of the
country of residence for the settlement of accounts (for example,
money cheques);
3.2. by intermediation of a payment service provider which has
the right to provide payment services within the meaning of the
Law On Payment Services and Electronic Money;
3.3. by a payment card at the representation using a payment
card terminal or another alternative system if it is technically
provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or intermediary
institution.
4. The Director of the Consular Department of the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs or an official authorised by him or her, on the
basis of a substantiated application of a person, may take a
decision on exempting the consular services from a fee in
accordance with the international treaties binding for the
Republic of Latvia, in the interest of the State or due to human
considerations.
5. Cabinet Regulation No. 92 of 19 February 2013, Price List
of the Paid Consular Services Provided by the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs (Latvijas Vēstnesis [the Official Gazette of the
Government of the Republic of Latvia] 2013, No. 37/183), is
repealed.
6. Cash payments which are settled in Latvian lats during the
parallel circulation period laid down in the Law On the Procedure
for Introduction of Euro shall be subject to Cabinet Regulation
No. 92 of 19 February 2013, Price List of the Paid Consular
Services Provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
7. This Regulation shall come into force on 1 January
2014.

Notes.
1 The value added tax shall not be applied in
accordance with Section 3, Paragraph eight of the Law On Value
Added Tax.
2 According to the rate approved by the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs in accordance with the postal costs of the
country of residence but at least 10 EUR per delivery.
3 According to the rate approved by the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs in accordance with the postal costs of the
