Regulations Regarding the Amount of the State Fee for Examination of the Documents Necessary for Requesting a Local Border Traffic Permit and the Procedures for Payment of the State Fee

Issued pursuant to
Section 4.¹, Paragraph four of the Immigration Law

1. This Regulation prescribes the amount of the State fee for examination of the documents necessary for requesting a local border traffic permit (hereinafter - State fee) and the procedures for payment of the State fee, as well as the categories of persons exempted from payment of the State fee.

2. The amount of the State fee shall be 20 euros.

3. The State fee shall be paid in cash in the diplomatic and consular representation of the Republic of Latvia in a foreign state, submitting the documents necessary for requesting a local border traffic permit.

4. The State fee need not be paid:

4.1. by retired persons, disabled persons and children up to 18 years of age, if they present a document issued in the foreign state certifying the relevant fact or status;

4.2. in the cases provided for in the international agreements binding to the Republic of Latvia.

6. If a decision has been taken to refuse, cancel or revoke a local border traffic permit, the State fee shall not be reimbursed.
