Regulations Regarding the Procedures by Which Information Shall be Indicated Regarding the Co-financing of Sport Events from the State Budget, and the Content of the Information Referred To

Issued pursuant to
Section 13, Paragraph six of the
Sports Law

1. These Regulations prescribe the procedures by which information shall be indicated regarding the co-financing of sport events from the State budget, and the content of the information referred to.

2. A natural person or legal person who receives co-financing from the State budget for the implementation of a sports event (hereinafter - beneficiary of co-financing), shall use the logo referred to in the Annex to these Regulations in all mass media and publicity (for example, information stand, information board, poster, printed materials (including brochures, booklets, conference and seminar materials), Internet website, audio-visual material (including digital video discs, compact discs, cassettes and video films)). When using the logo, the conditions of use for the conformation, size and colour of the logo referred to in the Annex to these Regulations shall be observed.

3. The logo and the style handbook thereof shall be accessible in electronic format on the Internet website of the Ministry of Education and Science.

4. The design of the publicity and mass media in which the logo is depicted shall be electronically co-ordinated with the direct State administrative institution ensuring the co-financing from the State budget for the implementation of sport events (hereinafter - co-financing provider).

5. The logo shall be used in publicity and mass media together with the logo of the co-financing provider and shall be placed first from the right hand side.

6. Publicity and mass media utilising an audio recording to inform about a co-financed sports event shall play the words "State funding ensured by… (name of the co-financing provider)".

7. If the co-financing exceeds LVL 10 000, the co-financing provider shall specify additional conditions for the use of the logo (places of use of the logo, number of logos, other publicity and mass media in which the use of the logo shall be mandatory) to the beneficiary of the co-financing, in the contract regarding the granting of co-financing.

Design, Size of a Logo and Conditions for Use of Colours

1. The logo is a unified graphic symbol and is formed by two parts - the symbol and wording. The logo is formed in one colour in order to simplify the use thereof and its compatibility with other logos.

2. In the wording part of the logo, the font Colonna MT Regular shall be utilised.

3. When using the logo, the permissible minimum width thereof shall be 20 mm. The recommended size of use for the logotype in printed items, the format of which does not exceed an A4 format, is 35 mm. The maximum size of the logo is not restricted. The logo may not be tilted or horizontally or vertically widened or narrowed.

4. The specified colours of the logo in different colour systems shall be as follows:

5. If the use of a full colour logo is not possible, the logo may be printed in black on a white background or white on a black background.

6. When using the logo in a black colour (black 100%), a grey tone shall be used for the background (black 20% or lighter) up to a white tone (100%).

7. When using the logo in a white colour (100%), a grey tone shall be used for the background (black 40 % or darker) up to a black tone (100%).

8. When using the logo on a black background (black 100%), a grey tone shall be used for the background (starting from black 30 %) or a white tone (100%).

9. When using the logo on a white background (100%), a grey tone shall be used for the logo (starting from black 40 %) or a black tone (100%).

10. When using the logo on a coloured background (except a white and black background), a white tone shall be used for the logo (100%).
