Regulations regarding Nutritional Provision Norms and Provision Norms of Washing Products and Personal Hygiene Products for Persons Placed in a Short-term Place of Detention

Issued pursuant to
Section 7, Paragraph one of the
Law on Procedures for Holding of Arrested Persons

1. These Regulations prescribe nutritional provision norms and provision norms of washing products and personal hygiene products for persons who have been placed in a short-term place of detention.

2. For persons of legal age placed in short-term places of detention, daily nutritional norms shall be determined in accordance with Annex 1 to these Regulations.

3. For minors placed in short-term places of detention, daily nutritional norms shall be determined in accordance with Annex 2 to these Regulations.

4. For persons taller than 195 cm, who have been paced in short-term places of detention, the nutritional norm shall be determined in a one-and-a-half-times greater amount.

5. Interchangeable edible products of a daily nutritional norm shall be determined in accordance with Annex 3 to these Regulations.

6. Norms of washing products and personal hygiene products for one person placed in a short-term place of detention shall be determined in accordance with Annex 4 to these Regulations.

1. For persons who suffer from diabetes, the norm of wheat bread may be replaced by rye bread, sugar - by sugar substitutes, pasta and two thirds of the daily nutritional norm of potatoes - by 80 grams of (oat, buckwheat, pearled grain, barley) groats or 600 grams of vegetables.

2. For persons who suffer from active phase of tuberculosis, exacerbation phase of gastric or duodenal ulcer, anaemia, malign tumours, AIDS, moderate and severe malnutrition and receive out-patient treatment, the nutrition norms shall be adjusted in conformity with the instructions of a health care practitioner.

Norms of Washing Products and Personal Hygiene Products for Persons Placed in Short-term Places of Detention

1. One toothbrush.

2. Toothpaste (20 ml per day).

3. Toilet paper (30 metre roll for 10 days).

4. Liquid toilet soap (40 ml per day).

5. If necessary - sanitary napkins (10 pieces).
