Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Latvia and the Government of the Argentine Republic on Visa Requirement Suppression for Holders of Diplomatic and Official or Service Passports
Article 1 Nationals of Latvia holders of
valid diplomatic, official or service passports may enter the
Argentine Republic and stay for a maximum of ninety (90) days
without a visa.
Article 2 Nationals of Latvia and nationals
of the Argentine Republic holders of diplomatic, official or
service passports entering the respective territories of the
Parties to carry out diplomatic or consular duties in their
respective diplomatic missions or consular offices, and holders
of such passports who are nationals of Latvia or the Argentine
Republic assigned to international organisations in the territory
of the other country as well as the members of their respective
families holders of diplomatic and official or service passports
may enter and stay in the territory of the host country without a
visa for a maximum of ninety (90) days.
Article 3 The visa requirement exemption agreed upon under this Agreement does not exempt the respective accreditation before the host State of the members of the corresponding diplomatic mission or consular office and their families, provided for in Article 10 of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations and in Article 11 of the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations or in other international conventions.
Article 4 The suppression of the visa requirement established in this Agreement does not exempt holders of such passports mentioned in Articles 1 and 2, to observe the laws and rules in force related to the entry into, stay and departure from the respective countries.
Article 5 This Agreement does not affect the right of the competent authorities of any of the Parties to deny the entry into or stay in their territories to those persons considered undesirable. Article 6 The Parties may totally or
partially suspend the enforcement of this Agreement due to
security reasons, health or public order preservation.
Article 7 The Parties shall exchange samples
of the diplomatic and official or service passports mentioned in
this Agreement through diplomatic channels not later than thirty
(30) days before the entry into force of the present
Agreement.
Article 8 This Agreement shall enter into force ninety (90) days after the date of its signature and shall be in force for an indefinite period.
Article 9 The present Agreement may be denounced by any of the Parties by giving prior notice through diplomatic channels and shall remain valid ninety (90) days following the date of such notice. Done in Helsinki on the 5th of December 2003, in two originals in the Latvian, Spanish and English languages, being both equally authentic. In case of any divergence of interpretation, the English text shall prevail.
