NOTE OF ACCESSION
OF THE REPUBLIC OF ESTONIA TO PARTICIPATE IN THE MEMORANDUM OF
UNDERSTANDING (MOU) CONCERNING THE OPERATION, MANNING, FUNDING,
ADMINISTRATION AND SUPPORT OF HEADQUARTERS MULTINATIONAL DIVISION
NORTH, DATED 7 SEPTEMBER 2021
The Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Estonia,
represented by brig-gen Rauno Sirk, national military
representative at SHAPE,
DESIRING that its Armed Forced be present in
Headquarters Multinational Division North (HQ MND-N).
DESIRING to join the current Participants of HQ MND-N
as a Participant, providing the personnel for the following
posts:
- Liaison Officer (MND-N OLOS 0030), stationed Adaži, Latvia
as of 1 August 2023;
- Staff Officer (MND-N PTRG 0110), stationed Slagelse, Denmark
as of 1 August 2023.
ELECTS to participate as of 4 November 2023 in the MOU
among the Ministry of Defence of the Kingdom of Denmark, the
Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Latvia, the Department of
National Defence of Canada and the Canadian Armed Forces, the
Minister of Defence of the French Republic, the Federal Ministry
of Defence of the Federal Republic of Germany, the Ministry of
Defence of the Italian Republic, the Ministry of National Defence
of the Republic of Lithuania, the Minister of National Defence of
the Republic of Poland, the Ministry of Defence of the Republic
of Slovenia, the Minister of Defence of the Kingdom of Spain, the
Ministry of Defence of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and
Northern Ireland and the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers
Europe (SHAPE) concerning the Operation, Manning, Funding,
Administration and Support of the HQ MND-N, which came into
effect on 7 September 2021.
COMMITS to contribute its share to the annual budget
starting with fiscal year 2024.
COMMITS to abide by all arrangements to the HQ MND-N
MOU concluded before the date
of entry into effect of this Note of Accession, listed as
follows:
- Technical Arrangement concerning the Command and Control
Arrangements for the HQ MND-N (C2 TA), dated 10 March 2022.
The Manning Table of HQ MND-N is to be modified to reflect the
above-stated post allocation for the Republic of Estonia.
This Note of Accession is signed in duplicate, in the English
and French languages, each version being equally valid. It
constitutes a modification to the HQ MND-N MOU.
The original document is to be deposited with SHAPE, which is
to provide certified copies to all Participants to the HQ MND-N
MOU, the Acceding Nation and HQ MND-N.
