concerning

the Manning, Funding and Support

of the Headquarters Multinational Corps Northeast

as the

- NATO Deployable Corps Northeast -

The Minister of National Defence of the Republic of Poland,

the Ministry of Defence of the Kingdom of Denmark,

the Federal Ministry of Defence of the Federal Republic of Germany,

the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Croatia,

the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic,

the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Estonia,

the Ministry of Defence of Hungary,

the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Latvia,

the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Lithuania,

the Ministry of National Defence of Romania,

the Ministry of Defence of the Slovak Republic,

the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Slovenia,

the Department of Defense of the United States of America and

the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe -

having regard to Section XIII of the Memorandum of Understanding of 16 March 2005 between the Minister of the National Defence of the Republic of Poland, the Ministry of Defence of the Kingdom of Denmark, the Federal Ministry of Defence of the Federal Republic of Germany and the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe concerning the Manning, Funding and Support of the Headquarters Multinational Corps Northeast as the NATO Deployable Corps Northeast (hereinafter referred to as the "Memorandum of Understanding")

have agreed upon to amend the Memorandum of Understanding as follows:

Section 1

In the Introduction, the passage "in its current version" is inserted in paragraph 7  after "(MNC NE)" and before "(Corps Agreement)", in paragraph 8 before "(TA)" and in paragraph 9 at the end respectively.

Section 2

In Section I, Definitions, the last two paragraphs are renumbered and become paragraphs 7 and 8.

Section 3

(1) Section V, "Manning", is renamed as "Manning and Force Contributions".

(2) In new Section V, "Manning and Force Contributions", after paragraph 4 the following new paragraph 5 is inserted:

"A Participant under this MOU not being a Framework Nation wishing to affiliate units to the Headquarters may do so with the consent of all Signatories through an accession to the TA."

(3) Consequently paragraphs 5 and 6 are renumbered and become paragraphs 6 and 7.

Section 4

In Annex A, Responsibilities of the Framework Nations, replace "agreement between the Ministry of National Defence of the Republic of Poland, The Ministry of Defence of the Kingdom of Denmark and The Federal Ministry of Defence of the Federal Republic of Germany concerning the operation of Multinational Corps North East signed in Szczecin the18 September 1999" with "Corps Agreement".

Section 5

In Annex E, Terms of Reference of the Senior Resources Committee, the paragraph after 6 is renumbered and becomes paragraph 7.

Section 6

This amendment will come into effect on the date of the last signature. It is signed in one original in the English language. The Minister of National Defence of the Republic of Poland will provide certified true copies to each Participant.
